Daphne's
Historic Daphne's, recently refurbished, is a modern and relaxed Italian 'local'. The alfresco-feel conservatory and open-plan restaurant create two comfortable spaces for dining.
Opened in 1964 by theatre agent Daphne Rye, Daphne's was an instant hit with her contemporaries of stage and screen and became one of London's most fashionable restaurants of the sixties. The restaurant continued to maintain its popularity with celebrities, neighbours and friends.
Now owned by Caprice Holdings, the restaurant continues to build upon its great reputation for timeless quality dining.
Head Chef Michael Hartnell, has created a seasonal menu of classics and weekly changing specials reflecting the traditions of Italian regional cuisine.
In December 2002, Daphne’s Barbados opened in the quiet setting of Tamarind Cove in Payne’s Bay, St James. Our signature dishes feature locally-caught fish and seafood at this beautiful beach-side retreat.
