Balenciaga: Shaping Fashion

Visit the new Balenciaga: Shaping Fashion exhibition (27 May 2017 until 18 February 2018) at the V&A and enjoy a two-course meal and Fashionista cocktail at Daphne's for £40

This May, the V&A will open the first ever UK exhibition exploring the work of Cristóbal Balenciaga and his profound and continuing influence on modern fashion.

Rather than a retrospective, Balenciaga: Shaping Fashion will focus in detail on the latter part of Balenciaga’s long career in the 1950s and 1960s, arguably one of his most creative periods as ‘the master’ of haute couture. It was during these years that he not only dressed some of the most iconic women of the time, but also introduced revolutionary shapes including the tunic, the sack, ‘baby doll’ and shift dress – all of which remain style staples today. On display will be over 100 garments and 20 hats, many of which have never been on public display before.

The package is available from 27 May 2017 until 18 February 2018* and excludes service charge. Restaurant bookings are available Monday to Friday (12pm to 6pm). To view the sample set menu click here.

To book, please call 020 7589 4257 or email Tickets should be collected from Daphne's. *Package availability excludes December 2017. Tickets to Balenciaga: Shaping Fashion are valid during the V&A public opening hours.
