Daphne’s Presents

Making Sense of the World… an evening of astrology with Shelley von Strunckel

Tuesday, 4 September

Daphne’s is joining forces with MARTINI to present a series of insightful talks, which promise to be engaging, entertaining and fulfilling (our own version of the very best kind of Ted Talk, but with food, drinks and a Q&A session).

Join us for dinner on Tuesday, 4 September, when we welcome the inimitable Shelley von Strunckel.  Known not only for her entertaining columns in The Sunday Times, Vogue France, Vogue China and The South China Morning Post, but also for the wisdom and wit she employs in her appearances on stage, television and radio, Shelley’s take on the world is refreshingly different. Shelley will take guests on a spicy canter through the zodiac, zooming in on what makes each sign tick; discovering their unique characters via celebrities and the odd historical figure. This will lead onto current global goings-on, the big decisions, their often wild-card decision makers and how this all interacts with the stars.  She’ll be exploring the signs of the great and not-so great and the impact they’re likely to have on our future.  And, at the end of the night there will be a draw where Shelley will give away three much-prized personalised charts.

The evening will kick off at 7pm with a MARTINI cocktail and a little mingling with the panel before sitting down for dinner at 7.30pm. The chef will offer a seasonal three course menu which will include delights such as a caprese salad & roast Devon chicken with artichokes, peas and pancetta. Dinner will cost £85 per person inclusive of service charge and will include a MARTINI cocktail on arrival, half a bottle of wine, three courses, water and tea or coffee.
