An Essential Guide to the Ski Season...with Chemmy Alcott, Rupert Longsdon and Perfect Moment
Tuesday, 30 October
Daphne's has joined forces with MARTINI to present a series of insightful, engaging and entertaining talks (our own version of a Ted Talk, but with food, drinks and Q&A).
Join us for dinner on Tuesday, 30 October, as we welcome British downhill skier Chemmy Alcott, founder of The Oxford Ski Company Rupert Longsdon and a representative from ski apparel label Perfect Moment. Chemmy, had us glued to our TVs during this year's Winter Olympics and is now a regular presenter on the BBC’s Ski Sunday and commentator on the World Cup Series for Eurosport, will share her thoughts on skiing as a sport. Rupert Longsdon, whose achievements include winning the Polar Challenge race in 2007 and being part of the first four man team to reach the Antarctic Pole of Inaccessibility by foot in 2009, will be talking about the how's, where's and why's. Perfect Moment will talk about fashion, form and function for all terrains and all levels.
The evening will kick off at 7pm with a MARTINI cocktail and a little mingling with the hosts before sitting down for dinner at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £85 per person inclusive of service charge and will include a MARTINI cocktail on arrival, half a bottle of house wine, three courses, water and tea or coffee.
